Fairfax Teen Struck by Train

West Springfield Police District – Fairfax County Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Brooke Buesking, 15, of Fairfax. Brooke was reported missing on Wednesday, October 15, shortly after 9 p.m. At around that same time, the police department received a report of a person that had just been hit by a train in the Burke area, near Sideburn Road and New Guinea Road. After an extensive search, Buesking’s body was found near the railroad tracks in that vicinity. Crash Reconstruction Detectives responded to the scene to conduct the investigation.

The Office of the Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death; however detectives do not suspect any criminal activity or public safety threat involved.
