“We have so many wonderful, family-ready pets and we’re trying to find them all loving homes before the start of the holiday season,” says Shelter Director Tawny Hammond. “If you’re thinking of adopting, this is a great time to spend less and save a life.”

The Family Halloween Adopt-a-thon hours are noon to 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Visit the shelter’s website to view available pets and learn about the adoption process. Questions? Contact the shelter at 703-830-1100 or email FCPDPetResources@fairfaxcounty.gov.
