Vehicle Larcenies in Springfield Area – Police Seek Assistance Identifying Suspects

CRASH WITH INJURY: Parking lot at 13902 Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy. 11/03/15, shortly before 1 p.m. An 85-year-old man got into his 1999 Honda. He placed the car in drive and began to pull away. At some point, the driver attempted to push the brake pedal and mistakenly pushed the accelerator instead. The Honda sped forward and ran into the glass enclosed portion of a Wendy’s restaurant located in the parking lot. Three patrons inside the Wendy’s were struck. They were transported to local hospitals after sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. The driver was not injured. Crash Reconstruction detectives assumed the investigation and it continues. No charges have been placed at this time. Alcohol was not a factor in this crash.
