BURGLARY: 14100 block of Coble Laskey Ct. 12/28/15, 1:15 a.m. A resident reported that someone entered the residence and took property.

ROBBERY: 2900 block of Cedar Lane. 12/29/15, 1:25 a.m. A 26-year-old man, operating a tow truck, parked in front of a 7-Eleven store and went inside. He returned to his truck and shortly thereafter, was approached by a man who displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and was not injured. The suspect fled on foot. K9 responded and tracked the suspect’s path east, toward the 8600 block of Lee Highway. The suspect was described as being black, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall. He was wearing all black clothing and a black mask covering his face.

STOLEN AUTO WITH APPREHENSION: 6500 block of Backlick Rd. 12/28/15, 11:52 a.m. A 51-year-old Springfield man parked and left his vehicle, a 2006 Acura TL, with the engine running, outside the Five Guys restaurant while he went inside. The man returned to discover that his vehicle was gone. A lookout was broadcast to the Virginia State Police and surrounding jurisdictions. A short time later, a Trooper marked out with a crash involving the Acura, on southbound I95, just south of the Franconia Road exit. A Fairfax County police officer responded to the crash scene and after an initial investigation, placed the driver of the Acura, 18-year-old, Abdul Hafeez of the 6800 block of Supreme Court in Springfield, under arrest. He was transported to the Adult Detention Center and charged with grand larceny auto.
