DESTRUCTION / ARSON: 7900 block of Woodpecker Drive, 02/23/16, 3:30 a.m. Patrol responded to a report of a vehicle tampering. While there, it was determined that more vehicles were damaged and graffiti found at the scene. Another victim approached police and reported that a small fire was set and quickly extinguished around the same time. Fairfax County Fire Marshals responded and through a collaborative effort and a joint investigation, a suspect was identified. The investigation continues.

BLOG POST: Update to Homicide in Falls Church
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 3400 block of S. Jefferson St. 2/23/16, 1:12 p.m. A man went into the Capital One Bank to cash a check. A second man followed the first man out of the bank, approached him and demanded money. The victim refused to hand over any money and the suspect fled. The suspect was described as black, teens to early 20s. He was about 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a thin build. He was wearing all black clothing.

STOLEN VEHICLES:
2900 block of Willston Place, Toyota Camry
MALICIOUS WOUNDING: 2200 block of Astoria Circle. 2/24/16, 1:35 a.m. The victim was walking home when he was approached by two men. One suspect displayed a knife and wounded the victim. The other suspect also assaulted the victim. Both suspects fled on foot. The suspect with the knife was described as black, about 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, 170 to 200 pounds. He was wearing a blue, hooded sweatshirt, black cargo pants, with a black and gray hat. The victim could not provide any physical description on the second suspect other than he was also black.
