ROBBERY: 8200 block of Claremont Woods Dr. 3/6/16, 12:14 p.m. a 51-year-old man was delivering food when he was approached by an unknown man. The suspect opened the victim’s car door, grabbed the food and attempted to flee. The victim and suspect struggled until an unknown female intervened and the suspect fled without the food. The victim was not injured. The suspect was described as a black male in his late teens, about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a gray jacket and dark pants.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY: 1800 block of Sherwood Hall Lane. 3/4/16, 9:04 p.m. A homeowner heard someone enter the home. When confronted, the intruder abruptly fled. He was stopped by officers a short time and distance away and was positively identified. Alberto Reyes Alvarado, 27, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with unlawful entry.

BLOG POST: Police Seek Public’s Assistance Locating Missing Woman from the Reston Area
MISSILE INTO OCCUPIED DWELLING: 13100 block of Diamond Mill Dr. 3/5/16, 2:30 a.m. A resident heard what sounded like a gunshot. He investigated and found a hole in a back bedroom wall. He then located a bullet on the bedroom floor. The bullet was turned over to police and a canvass was conducted. There were no injuries and it is unknown where the bullet was fired from.

EMOTIONALLY DISTURBED PERSON: Shepherd Hills Ct. 3/5/16, 7 p.m. Officers responded for a 19-year-old man apparently experiencing emotional distress. The man initially fled but returned a short time later. He was taken into custody for his own protection after an emergency custody order was issued by a magistrate. The man will be evaluated by mental health professionals and will be afforded appropriate treatment.
SUSPICIOUS EVENT: 7900 block of Morning View Lane. 3/6/16, 4:05 p.m. Island Creek Elementary School was open for school activities. A teacher, working at her desk on the second floor, heard a noise and stepped out to investigate. She heard footsteps running away from her classroom and found “Airsoft” rounds on the floor. She locked herself inside her room until officers arrived. Officers checked the interior of the school but nobody was found.
BURGLARY: 9000 block of Lorton Station Boulevard. 3/6/16, 2:37 p.m. A resident reported that someone entered the residence and took property.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
CONTRIBUTING TO THE DELIQUNCY OF A MINOR: 9300 block of Moose Ct. 3/3/16, 5:45 a.m. Officers located a suspicious vehicle and proceeded to investigate. The occupants turned out to be two, seventeen year olds and a 20-year-old. They were all engaged in smoking suspected marijuana. One of the juveniles initially fled but was apprehended a short time and distance away. All three subjects were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. The juvenile that fled was also charged with resisting arrest. The adult male, Geremias Bencomo, of Burke, was also charged with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA W/INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE: Fairfax County Pwy. /Franklin Farm Rd. 3/6/16, 11:18 a.m. An officer initiated a traffic stop and when approaching the vehicle, detected a strong odor of burning marijuana coming from inside. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded an undisclosed quantity of suspected marijuana, along with items consistent with the sale/distribution of the drug. The driver, Breyon Justin Mabrey, 26, of Fairfax, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute.
