Checkpoint Results: Route 50 at Stringfellow Road, 04/29/16. Officers conducted a DWI checkpoint searching for drunk drivers. 669 vehicles passed through. One driver was charged with DWI, four drivers were charged with DUID, four traffic summonses were issued, and four criminal arrests were made.
Directed Patrol: 04/29/16. Officers from the Mount Vernon District patrolled the area searching for drunk drivers. 57 vehicles were stopped and two were charged with DWI. 49 summonses were issued and four criminal arrests were made.

ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 6100 block of North Kings Hwy, 04/29/16, 6:13 a.m. A man entered a convenience store, approached an employee, and implied a weapon. He demanded money then fled empty handed. The suspect was described as black, approximately five feet eleven inches tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a dark-colored jacket.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS AND NARCOTICS VIOLATION: 3800 block of Joshua Place, 04/30/16, 12:32 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop and found Dadrian Jegede, 21, of Alexandria, under the influence of drugs. Jegede was arrested and charged with DUID, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of MDMA, possession of Xanax, and possession with intent to distribute within 1000 feet of a school.

CREDIT CARD FRAUD: 7900 block of Tysons Corner Center, 05/01/16, 1:15 p.m. Officers responded to a report of credit card fraud. They observed a man who matched the description of the suspect. Officers detained the suspect and further investigation revealed he was in possession of stolen property and fraudulent credit cards. Terrence Herman Pringle, 34, of North Carolina, was taken to jail and charged with larceny by false pretense, two counts of credit card theft, and three counts of credit card fraud.
ROBBERY: 8500 block of Leesburg Pike, 05/01/16, 9:06 p.m. Two men entered a gas station and displayed handguns to an employee. The suspects took cash and other property and fled. Both suspects were described as black males, wearing dark clothing, and their faces covered. One suspect was approximately 5’6” and the other suspect was approximately 5’10”.
ROBBERY: 9300 block of Lee Hwy, 04/30/16, 6:07 p.m. The victim was walking to his vehicle in an apartment complex when he observed a man taking money from his car. The victim approached the suspect and a struggle ensued. The suspect displayed a handgun at the victim and then fled on a moped. Officers pursued the suspect and he was taken into custody. Investigation is still on-going and charges are pending.
