GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
On Sunday June 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., police officers from the McLean Police Station officers participated in a multijurisdictional agency Metro tunnel exercise.

DIRECTED PATROL:
06/24/16 – 06/25/16: Officers from several police districts participated in grant funded DWI directed patrol and stopped 26 vehicles, charged four people with DWI, issued 16 traffic summonses, and placed 2 criminal charges.
06/26/16 – 06/27/16: One officer from McLean District Station participated in a grant funded DWI directed patrol and stopped six vehicles. One person was charged with DWI and there was one criminal arrest.
CHECKPOINT: 06/25/16, West Ox Road / Penderbrook Road, 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. 658 vehicles were screened. Two drivers were arrested for DWI and two criminal charges were placed. Additionally, one vehicle ran the checkpoint and was subsequently arrested and charged with DWI.

STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERY: 2400 Beacon Hill Road, 06/26/16, 12:07 a.m. A police officer observed a traffic violation and conducted a traffic stop of a motorcycle. Further investigation determined that the motorcycle was reported stolen. Moises Mariano Moreno, 27, of Alexandria, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property.

SEX OFFENSE: 3100 block of Lockheed Blvd, 06/25/16, 8:24 p.m. A 13-year-old female alleged that a male inappropriately touched her as he left while in a convenience store. The victim was not injured. The suspect was described as Hispanic, 30 to 40 years old, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall, 150 to 175 pounds, and had short facial hair. He was wearing a green T-shirt, blue jeans, and dark shoes.
TRESPASSING: 8000 block of Pantano Pl, 06/25/16, 9:54 a.m. A resident reported people inside the residence. Tamela Monique Tibbs, 20, of no fixed address, and Kevon Desmone Newman, 21, of Alexandria, were both charged with trespassing.

ROBBERY: 2600 block of Avenir Place, 06/25/16, 11 a.m. The victim agreed to meet the suspect via online communication, to purchase an iPhone. They met in a parking lot to conduct the exchange. The suspect took cash from the victim’s person and fled. There were no injuries. The suspect was seen running into a local store in the area where he was apprehended by officers. A 17-year-old male from Maryland, was arrested and charged with robbery. A second subject was seen with the arrested inside of the store and was described as black, 17 to 20 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, 150 to 170 pounds, wearing a white tank top, blue jeans, white sneakers, and carrying a purple backpack. BURGLARY: 2200 block of Westmoreland St, 06/24/16, 2 p.m. A resident reported someone entered their residence and took property.
LARCENY: 1900 block of Chain Bridge Rd, 06/24/16, 12:30 p.m. A store employee reported that a male concealed merchandise in a shopping bag and left the store. Raymond Frederick Goss, 49, of Alexandria, was arrested by officers and charged with grand larceny, possession of stolen property with intent to sell, and possession of burglarious tools.

BURGLARY: 2300 block of Cedar Ln, 06/14/16, 2:54 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

ROBBERY: Glen Carlyn Dr / Bellview Rd, 06/25/16, 6 p.m. The victim was walking when he was approached by a man. The man demanded the victim’s money and cell phone which he refused to relinquish. The suspect along with four other males assaulted him and took his cash and cell phone. The victim fled, had non-life-threatening injuries, and was medically treated on the scene. The suspects were described as Hispanic and one was wearing a white construction style hat.
BURGARLY: 3200 block of Dye Drive, 06/26/16, 3:50 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown male entered his home through an unsecured door. The man left immediately when he saw the homeowner. Nothing was taken.
POSSESSSION OF MARIJUANA / CONCEALED FIREARM: 4600 block of Columbia Road, 3:30 a.m. A police officer observed a traffic violation and conducted a traffic stop. Further investigation determined that the subject was in possession of marijuana and a concealed firearm in the vehicle. Andrew Leyland Bolen, 22, of Falls Church, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a concealed weapon. The suspect mug shot is not available at this time.
VEHICLE TRESSPASS / POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS: 5800 block of 6th St South, 06/24/16 5:50 a.m. A resident reported an unknown man exiting his van which was parked in his driveway. The man left immediately when he saw the vehicle owner was located by officers in the area. Jereme Peterson, 27, of Reston, was arrested and charged with petit larceny, two counts of vehicle trespass, possession of burglarious tools, two counts of possession of a schedule I/II narcotics, possession of schedule IV narcotic, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: 10500 block of Oak Bluff Court, 06/25/16, 11:17 p.m. Two adjacent residents reported that three males attempted to enter their residence. Two of the suspects were described as white; one was of heavy build, wearing a white T-shirt, and the other was tall, thin build, and wearing a Redskins jersey. The third suspect was described as black, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, thin build, and wearing a black shirt.
BURGLARY: 6300 block of Bardu Ave, 06/25/16, 6 p.m. Officers responded to a school alarm and located two juveniles inside the school. The juveniles were apprehended and have been referred to the Restorative Justice program.
