STOLEN AUTO W/ APPREHENSION / PURSUIT: Kingstowne Village Pkwy./Manchester Lakes Boulevard. 8/22/16, 5:14 a.m. A patrol officer noticed a 2016 silver Jeep Wrangler driving in a suspicious manner and when the officer ran the license plate, the vehicle came back stolen. The officer activated his emergency lights and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The Jeep failed to stop and a pursuit ensued. The driver of the Jeep disregarded a red light at Beulah Street and Morning View Lane and crashed into a Toyota Corolla. Three occupants of the Jeep fled on foot. Two adults were apprehended immediately. A perimeter was set up and the driver, a 16-year-old female was apprehended a short time later. The driver of the Toyota, a 62-year-old female, was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The two adults, 18-year-old Alex Turcios and 20-year-old Hayat Tarabichi, both of Alexandria, were transported to the Adult Detention Center where they were charged with possession of stolen property, felony hit and run and eluding. The juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center where she was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, speed to elude, felony hit and run and no operator’s license.
