GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Police Explorer (Youth) Program: Seeking New Recruits, Registration Only Happens Once a Year: Three informational meetings to be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 19 at the Fairfax County Criminal Justice Academy in Chantilly; Monday, September 26 at Police Headquarters in Fairfax; and Monday, October 3 at West Potomac High School in Alexandria.
Fairfax County Crime Solvers Case of the Month: Series of Shots Fired Into Vehicles and Dwelling
Virginia Department of Transportation will be milling and paving on Guinea Road, reducing it to one lane, alternating between Braddock Road and Route 236 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the next few weeks. Stay alert and follow officers’ direction. They will be in the work zone for safety.

OBSCENE SEXUAL DISPLAY: 5900 block of Stone Road, 9/14/16 around 4:15 p.m. Police were called for a report of a sex offense. An investigation determined a 49-year-old woman observe the suspect press himself against a store window and simulate touching himself inappropriately over his clothing. Police searched the area but did not locate the suspect. He was described as white, in his early 20s, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and 180 pounds, with blond hair and a scruffy beard. He was wearing a gray T-shirt and black shorts.

ROBBERY: Fielding Street and San Leandro Place, 9/14/16 around 10:15 a.m. Police were called to a report of a robbery. An investigation determined the victim, a 28-year-old woman, was walking outside when a man approached her from behind. The suspect was allegedly holding a knife, grabbed her, took her wallet and ran. Police searched the area but did not locate the suspect. He was described as black, between 30 and 35 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a beard. He wore a blue shirt, black shorts and white shoes. The victim did not require medical attention.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY/MISSILE INTO AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 9500 block of Daniel Lewis Lane, 9/14/16 around 2:49 a.m. Police were called for a report of a home that had been shot at by what appeared to be a BB or pellet gun. An investigation determined the suspect may have entered the home through an unlocked door prior to firing at the home’s exterior. Officers are looking into the possibility the suspect is an acquaintance of someone in the home. No one was injured.
BURLGARY: 3300 block of Willow Crescent Drive, 9/14/16 between 3 and 4:15 p.m. A home was burglarized. An investigation determined someone entered through an unlocked door and stole a bicycle.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS/FAIL TO MAINTAIN SINGLE LANE/DISREGARD SIGNAL TO STOP/ARREST: I-66 and Nutley Street, 9/15/16 around 2 a.m. An officer conducting regular patrol observed a 1999 GMC Yukon swerving in the road. He activated his emergency lights and attempted to stop the vehicle. The driver allegedly failed to yield and a pursuit began. The driver stopped his vehicle after traveling a short distance. An investigation determined the driver was under the influence of drugs. Gregory D. Grant, Sr., 53, of Columbia Heights, Md., was taken into custody and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He was charged with failing to maintain a single lane, failing to stop for police and driving under the influence of drugs.
