BURGLARY: 14000 block of Wood Rock Way. 11/14/16, 3:30 p.m. A homeowner reported that someone entered the home and took jewelry and cash. There is no suspect information.

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 5910 North Kings Highway (New China Taste). 11/14/16, 1:25 p.m. A man entered the restaurant, displayed a handgun and demanded money from an employee. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash; the victim was not injured. The suspect was described as black, in his 30s, about 6 feet tall and approximately 200 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket, black pants and a black mask.

BURGLARY: 8300 block of Westchester Drive. 11/14/16, 11:17 a.m. The homeowner came home and noticed a ladder leaning against the house and an attic window open, with the screen removed. A neighbor alerted the homeowner that a man had just run out of a back door of the house, toward the W&OD Trail. Patrol, K9 and Fairfax 1 responded. Officers made sure the house was safe. The suspect was not located. He was described as black, in his late teens. He was wearing gray pants, a gray sweatshirt and a gray ball cap.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY: 11500 block of North Shore Drive. 11/14/16, 5:58 p.m. A resident reported that someone apparently entered the apartment through an unlocked bedroom window. The intruder ate food in the vacant room and then left without taking anything. There is no suspect description.

ARMED ROBBERY: 6300 block of Franconia Commons Drive. 11/14/16, 8:55 p.m. A food delivery driver arrived at the home with an online order. The homeowner told the driver they had not placed an order, so the driver left and continued on with other deliveries. At some point, a man flagged the driver down and told him the online order was his. As the driver approached, the man displayed a handgun. The driver dropped the food and fled back to his car. The suspect picked up the bag of food and fled on foot. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as black, He was approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a slim build. He was wearing black pants and a black, “beanie style” hat.
