ROBBERY: 7900 block of Lee Highway, 4/29/17 around 6 p.m. A 27-year-old man was running when two men approached him and demanded his belongings. One suspect grabbed a hold of him while the other implied a weapon. The victim relinquished his wallet and cell phone and both suspects fled. One was described as black, in his mid-20s, between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing a black T-shirt, black and red shorts and black and white sneakers. The other suspect was described as Hispanic, in his mid-20s, between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing a white T-shirt and red shorts. The victim declined medical attention.

ARMED ROBBERY: 3600 Block of Barcroft View Terrace. 4/29/17, 2:51 a.m. A 31-year-old woman went to an ATM in Arlington and then went home. During her trip, she noticed an SUV following her. As she got out of her car, a man appeared, pointed a handgun at her and demanded money. The victim handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and she was not injured. The suspect left the scene. He was described as black, in his 30s, tall and skinny. He was wearing a black shirt and blue pants. There was no description of the SUV.
BURGLARY: 4100 block of Mangalore Drive, 4/28/17, around 3:20 p.m. A resident reported that, while away at work, someone entered their apartment and took cash.
BURGLARY: 2900 block of Patrick Henry Drive, 4/28/17, around 5:20 p.m. A resident reported that, while away at work, someone entered their apartment and took cash and property.

INDECENT EXPOSURE: 11900 block of Market Street, 4/29/17, around 1:30 p.m. A 54-year-old man reported that he saw a car blocking the through lane of a street. When he approached, he noticed the driver was exposing himself and touching himself inappropriately. He looked toward the driver’s line of sight and saw a group of young girls. He then began to yell at the suspect, who drove off. The incident is under investigation.
BURGLARY: 11100 block of Forest Edge Drive, 4/28/17, around 8:25 p.m. A resident reported that sometime during the night, someone entered the house through an unsecured basement door, and took firearms.

Argument Resulted in Fatal Shooting; Investigation Underway
COMMERCIAL ARMED ROBBERY: 7200 block of Little River Turnpike (CVS). 4/29/17, 3:02 a.m. A man went into the business, approached an employee and implied that he had a weapon. The employee ran away from the suspect and called police. The suspect grabbed an unknown number of customer prescriptions that had already been filled, and left the store. The suspect’s race is unknown. He was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
BURGLARY: 8800 block of Silverline Drive, 4/28/17, around 10 a.m. A 64-year-old woman reported that while working in her yard, a man entered her home. The victim saw the suspect in her kitchen and when she approached him, he ran off. Several pieces of jewelry were missing. The suspect was described as white, in his 20’s with dark hair.

SUSPICIOUS EVENT: Waples Mill Road/Pender Drive. 4/28/17, 5:13 a.m. A 39-year-old woman reported that she was jogging on Waples Mill when a dark-colored van stopped, the passenger got out, grabbed her by her wrist and tried to pull her into the van. She was able to break free and run away. The van did not follow. The victim did not require medical attention. The only description of the suspect was that he might have been Hispanic.
