ROBBERY: Centrewood Drive/Machen Road, 5/3/17 around 10 a.m. A woman walking with her infant was approached by two men who snatched and damaged her phone, then fled. The victim and her child did not require medical attention.

ROBBERY: 7800 block of Audubon Avenue, 5/3/17 around 7:47 a.m. A man grabbed a 71-year-old woman’s purse and fled. Her purse was located nearby, but her wallet was missing. The suspect was described as black wearing a black hoodie and black pants with a white stripe. The victim did not require medical attention.

FAIL TO UPDATE SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY: Leesburg Pike/Rock Spring Avenue, 5/3/17 around 12:30 a.m. An officer conducting criminal patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Further investigation determined the driver, Trevan Adrian Nova Bryant, 38 of Alexandria, was a registered sex offender who had not updated his registration. The officer also detected an odor of marijuana and discovered a small amount in his vehicle. Nova Bryant was charged with having fictitious plates, failing to update registry, and possession of marijuana.
