STRANGULATION/ABDUCTION/MALICIOUS WOUNDING/ARREST: 7300 block of Paxton Road, 5/4/17 around 8:30 a.m. A 33-year-old woman discovered an acquaintance, a 29-year-old man, inside her home. They began arguing and the suspect strangled and assaulted her. Officers arrested William Mcnair, Jr., of Washington, D.C., who broke his leg while attempting to elude them. He was taken to the Adult Detention Center and charged with burglary, strangulation, malicious wounding, abduction, resisting arrest, and drunk in public. No mug shot is available.

SHOPLIFTING/ASSAULT ON A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER/DRUNK IN PUBLIC/ARREST: 11800 block of Spectrum Court (Harris Teeter), 5/4/17 around 12:21 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a shoplifting. An investigation led to an arrest. The suspect resisted, but was taken into custody. Mohamed Iman, 24, of Reston, was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, petit larceny, trespassing, and drunk in public. No mug shot is available.
