BURGLARY: 5300 block of Woodland Estates Way, 5/12/17 between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. An investigation determined cash and jewelry were taken from a home. There appeared to be signs of forced entry. Detectives are investigating.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
MALICIOUS WOUNDING/IMPERSONATING A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER/ARREST: 9000 block of Tiffany Park Court, 5/14/17 around 8:57 a.m. The victim was approached and pepper sprayed by a man dressed in police attire. An investigation determined the two men were acquaintances. Dewaune Allen, Jr., 31, of Springfield, was arrested and transported to the Adult Detention Center. He was charged with malicious wounding by a caustic substance and impersonating a law enforcement officer. The victim did not require medical attention. No mugshot available.
SHOOTING INTO AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 4600 block of John Tyler Court, 5/14/17 around 9:42 p.m. Officers responded to reports of shots fired into an apartment building. An investigation determined the victim’s window was struck multiple times. No one was injured. The area was searched extensively, but the suspects were not located. The investigation continues.
