Man Arrested for Sex Offenses Against Child at Home Daycare, Detectives Seek Information on Other Possible Victims

Mount Vernon District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau are looking for additional victims after an investigation revealed a child was sexually abused while at a home day care. Officers were called to the daycare located at 3012 Popkins Lane on September 12, after a mother learned her child was sexually abused by a man who lives at the home. Jose Garcia Urrutia Luna, 54, of Alexandria, was arrested and charged with indecent liberties with a child, sodomy and aggravated sexual battery. He is currently held without bond.
