Mount Vernon Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau, Sex Crimes Squad, have arrested two men in connection with the sexual assault of a juvenile girl that occurred on May 16. The incident took place at the Wingstop restaurant located at 8723 Cooper Road in the Mount Vernon area of the county.

Officers initially responded to a home on Richmond Highway after the victim reported that she was assaulted to her family. Sex Crimes Detectives believe the girl encountered two men who sexually assaulted her inside the restaurant.

Our detectives have worked diligently to identify, locate and arrest Andrew Collins, 22, and Kevin Caldwell, 21. Both men have no fixed address and no community ties. Collins was arrested Saturday, July 27, around 2:45 a.m. in Arlington County and charged with animate object penetration. Caldwell was arrested Sunday, July 28, around 9 p.m. in Fairfax County and charged with forcible sodomy. Both men were taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and are being held without bond.
