Man Remains Hospitalized After Shooting In Groveton 

Mount Vernon Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau are investigating a shooting in the Groveton area of Mount Vernon. 

Last night at 11:55 p.m., officers responded to the 6300 block of South Kings Highway, Groveton for an adult man who was shot. Officers found the victim suffering from gunshots to the lower body. Officers provided medical aid until fire and rescue arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital and remains hospitalized. Detectives believe the shooting occurred after a verbal argument and continue to investigate to identify a suspect involved.
