Man Safely Taken Into Custody After Shooting into Nearby Home

Mason Police District – A man was safely taken into custody yesterday evening after recklessly discharging a firearm from inside his home in Annandale.

Last night around 10:00 p.m., officers were called to the 7800 block of Butterfield Lane in Annandale for the report of gunshots being fired into a neighboring, occupied townhouse.  There were no reported injuries.

Preliminarily, detectives determined that Michael Glaze, 67, of Annandale discharged his firearm multiple times inside his residence. After a short standoff, members from our Department of Public Safety Communications were able to convince Glaze to surrender. Officers took Glaze into custody.
