UPDATE: Detectives continue to investigate Springfield Woman’s Death

Franconia Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau continue to investigate the death of Fayra Desiree Bonilla-Rubi, 26, of Springfield.

On June 14, Bonilla-Rubi was discovered deceased in a wooded area of Springfield by a community member. Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances and manner surrounding Bonilla-Rubi’s death.

Death Investigation Underway in Springfield

Franconia Police District –Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau are investigating the death of a Springfield woman.

Yesterday, around 6:04 p.m., officers responded to the 7600 block of Highland Street in Springfield for a death investigation. A community member alerted officers to a body that was found near a wooded area. Officers located and identified Fayra Desiree Bonilla-Rubi, 26, of Springfield. She was reported missing on June 10 by family members.

Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death. An autopsy will be completed to confirm the cause and manner of death.
