Woman Dies From Injuries Sustained in July 3 Crash in Woodlawn

Mount Vernon Police District – Detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred in Woodlawn.

On July 3 around 4:30 p.m., officers responded to the 8600 block of Richmond Highway in Woodlawn for a two-vehicle crash.

Officers determined Donna Gulino, 80, of Mount Vernon was traveling southbound on Richmond Highway and attempted to make a left turn onto eastbound Lukens Lane in a 2011 Cadillac ATS. The driver of a 2019 Mini Cooper was traveling northbound on Richmond Highway when the vehicle struck the Cadillac in the intersection. Both drivers were transported to the hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening.

Yesterday, CRU detectives received notification from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner that Gulino succumbed to injuries she sustained in the crash. Preliminarily, speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash.
