UPDATE: 2 Men Arrested in Connection to Oakton Homicide
Fair Oaks Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau have arrested two men in connection to Saturday’s homicide in Oakton.
Nicacio Hernandez Gonzalez, 47, of Fairfax, was discovered in the 9500 block of Route 29 in Oakton with trauma to his body.


Through an extensive investigation, Detectives arrested Maldin Anibal Guzman, 27, and Wis Alonso Sorto-Portillo, 45, both of no fixed addresses. Guzman and Sorto-Portillo have been charged with Malicious Wounding by Mob. They are being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center with no bond.
The investigation into the circumstances of the victim’s death is ongoing. Detectives urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact the Fairfax County Police Department.

Detectives Continue to Investigate a Homicide in Oakton
Fair Oaks Police District — Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau continue to investigate a homicide in Oakton.
On July 20, around 3:04 p.m., officers responded to the 9500 block of Route 29 in Oakton for a body found in a wooded area. A community member was walking on a path in the area when they noticed a male lying unresponsive. Officers located an adult male with obvious trauma to the body. He was declared deceased at the scene.
Preliminarily, detectives believe that this was not a random act. The victim is described as a 20 to 30-year-old Hispanic male. Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
