Alexandria Man Arrested After Unprovoked Stabbing in Bailey’s Crossroads

Mason Police District – A man is in custody after stabbing a victim in Bailey’s Crossroads yesterday afternoon.

On November 19 at 2:18 p.m., officers responded to a stabbing in the 5600 block of Leesburg Pike in Bailey’s Crossroads. Officers located an adult man suffering from stab wounds to the upper body. The victim was taken to the hospital in life-threatening condition. The suspect remained on scene and was taken into custody by officers.

Detectives determined that Richard Fuentes Cordova, 27, of Alexandria approached the victim and stabbed him while inside the business. Cordova was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with Malicious Wounding. He was held on no bond.
