Stolen Car Leads to Arrests, Recovered Firearms, and Drug Charges

West Springfield Police District – Officers from our West Springfield Police District have arrested two men after they were found in a stolen vehicle with firearms and drugs in Burke.

On January 16, at approximately 4:44 p.m., officers responded to the 11700 block of Fair Oaks Shopping Center in Fair Lakes for a stolen vehicle call. The victim reported that her 2013 Hyundai was stolen by a known suspect. Detectives from our Auto Crimes Enforcement (ACE) Unit responded to assist with the investigation.

At 7:52 p.m., officers responded to the 6000 block of Freds Oak Road in Burke after being alerted to the stolen vehicle’s location. Officers found the stolen Hyundai with two men inside. Both suspects were taken into custody and recovered two illegal firearms and narcotics.  

Daniel Shuford, 18, of Chantilly, was charged with Destruction of Property, Possession of Schedule IV Narcotics, Carrying a Loaded Firearm in Public Places Where Prohibited, and Carrying a Concealed Firearm. Shuford was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was later released on bond.

Timothy Ndahiriwe, 19, of Fairfax, was charged with Possession of a Machine Gun, Carrying a Loaded Firearm in Public Places Where Prohibited, and Carrying a Concealed Firearm. Ndahiriwe was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was held on a $20,000 bond.
