Caught on Camera: Man Arrested in Three Woodlawn Burglaries
Mount Vernon Police District – Detectives from our Criminal Investigations Division have charged a man linked to three burglaries in Woodlawn.
On January 9, at 10:45 a.m., officers responded to the 8500 block of Richmond Highway in Woodlawn for a burglary report of two businesses. The victim reported that a suspect broke into the businesses overnight and stole merchandise and cash.
Detectives reviewed surveillance footage and determined that the same suspect was responsible for a burglary at the same location on December 30, 2024.
Luis Melendez Villalobos, 24, of Woodlawn, was identified as the suspect in all three burglaries. Melendez-Villalobos has been charged with three counts of Burglary and is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
