UPDATE: From Porch to Patrol Stop: Scooter-Riding Suspect Charged
Mount Vernon Police District – Officers from our Mount Vernon District have arrested a New York man in connection to a recent string of package thefts in Annandale and Springfield.
On June 25, just before 1 p.m., a patrol supervisor spotted a man riding an electric scooter along Sherwood Hall Lane in Hybla Valley. The man matched the description of a suspect wanted for multiple package thefts in the area.

Officers stopped the man in the 7900 block of Richmond Highway in Hybla Valley, identifying him as Luis Sena, 25, of New York. Sena was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny and Fugitive from Justice. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he is being held on no bond.

Detectives Seek Electric Scooter Suspect in Daytime Package Thefts
Fairfax County, VA – Detectives from our Criminal Investigations Division are seeking the community’s help in identifying a suspect who stole packages off porches of homes in Annandale and Springfield.
On June 17, at 10:30 a.m., officers responded to the 6300 block of Alberta Street in Springfield for a theft report. The victim reported that after a package was delivered to the residence, an unknown suspect stole the package and fled the area on an electric scooter.

The victim reported that after a package was delivered to the residence, an unknown suspect stole the package and fled the area on an electric scooter. Detectives believe the same suspect is responsible for both thefts and have assumed the investigation.
