A Record Year for Crime Solvers: Tips That Led to Arrests and Lives Saved
Fairfax County, VA – In 2025, the Fairfax County Police Department’s Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) assumed oversight of the Crime Solvers tip program, creating a stronger connection between anonymous tips and active investigations. The transition resulted in the program’s most successful year, with record tip volume, major cases solved, and over $16,000 in community rewards.

The RTCC received 643 Crime Solvers tips in 2025; the highest annual total in the program’s history following its integration into RTCC operations.
- 56% of tips handled entirely by the RTCC.
- 100% of tips assigned and closed.
- 15 urgent tips immediately investigated.
- $16,250 paid in cash rewards from 13 qualifying tips.
