ACE Detectives Track Down Stolen Vehicle, Arrest Man in Sully

Sully Police District – Detectives from our Auto Crimes Enforcement (ACE) Unit have arrested a man after locating a stolen vehicle in Centreville.

On February 5 at 11:15 a.m., ACE detectives responded to the area of Woodmere Drive and Sequoia Farms Drive in Centreville for a reported stolen vehicle. Detectives were alerted by the Prince William County Police Department that a stolen vehicle from their jurisdiction was in the area. Detectives quickly located the vehicle, which was occupied.

The suspect exited the vehicle and fled on foot after noticing the police. After a brief foot pursuit and with the assistance of responding patrol officers, detectives located Marquel Gatling-Bryant, 20, of Woodbridge, and took him into custody. During the foot pursuit, Gatling-Bryant discarded a firearm, which was later recovered by detectives.

Gatling-Bryant was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He was charged with Grand Larceny Auto Theft, Possession of Machine Guns, three counts of Possession of Burglarious Tools, Larceny, Obstruction of Justice, and Carrying a Loaded Firearm. He is being held on no bond.
