Mason Police District- Detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit (CRU) have charged the driver involved in the May 26 fatal pedestrian crash in Seven Corners.
Detectives determined Jose Jimenez, 60, of Falls Church, was crossing Arlington Boulevard at Patrick Henry Drive within the crosswalk, but against the pedestrian signal, when he was struck by a light-colored sedan traveling eastbound on Arlington Boulevard. The striking vehicle, later determined to be a 2004 silver Honda Civic, left the scene prior to police arrival.
Jimenez was transported to a local hospital by Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department personnel where he was pronounced deceased.

On June 28, Hein Quang Le, 63, of Arlington, turned himself in at the Mason Police Station where he was interviewed by detectives. He was transported to the Adult Detention Center and was charged with Felony Hit and Run for his involvement in the crash. He was held on no bond.

Mason Police District – Detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run crash in Seven Corners.
This morning at approximately 1:22 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Arlington Boulevard and Patrick Henry Drive for a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle.
Preliminarily, CRU detectives determined Jose Jimenez, 60, of Falls Church was crossing the street at this location from north to south within the crosswalk, but against the pedestrian signal when he was struck by a light-colored sedan traveling eastbound on Arlington Boulevard. The driver of the sedan fled the scene.
Jimenez was transported to a local hospital by Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department personnel where he was pronounced deceased.
The investigation into the crash continues as detectives work to identify the driver and vehicle involved. Speed and alcohol are under investigation.
Victim specialists from our Major Crimes Bureau’s Victim Services Division have been assigned to ensure that the victim’s family is receiving appropriate resources and assistance.
