Reston Police District – Detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit (CRU) have arrested a man in connection with a life-threatening pedestrian crash that occurred on November 16, 2014.

On November 16, 2014, at approximately 6:29 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Reston Pkwy and Spectrum Center Drive in Reston for a report of a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle.

CRU detectives determined Enda Browne, 43, of Herndon was driving a 2014 Ford Fusion southbound on Reston Pkwy. Browne struck an adult female pedestrian who was crossing Reston Parkway at Spectrum Center and fled the scene.

The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. She was later downgraded to non-life-threatening injuries. 

Browne was later located, along with the car he was driving. He was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with Felony Hit and Run and later released.

Browne was due in court on June 8, 2015, but never showed. It was later learned he had fled the country.

On June 26, 2026, detectives were notified that the United States Marshals Service had Browne in custody at Dulles Airport. He was taken to the Adult Detention Center and held on no bond. He is being charged with Felony Hit and Run from the 2014 incident.
