Fair Oaks Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau have taken a man into custody after fatally shooting his wife in Fair Oaks last night.
On July 12, at 10:21 p.m., officers responded to a call for service in the 12000 block of Washington Brice Road in Fair Oaks. A Department of Public Safety Communications (DPSC) call taker could hear sounds consistent with a disturbance before the line disconnected. A second 911 call was received at 10:39 p.m.
When officers arrived at the location, they located Chisen Jameson, 60, of Fair Oaks, inside a home suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body. She was declared deceased at the scene.
Preliminarily, detectives determined that Leland Jameson, 64, of Fair Oaks, fatally shot his wife inside their residence.
Jameson was taken into custody and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Second-Degree Murder and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. He is being held on no bond.
Detectives continue to conduct interviews and process evidence recovered from the scene to determine the circumstances that led up to the fatal shooting.
