McLean Police District- Detectives from our Child Abuse Squad have arrested a 61-year-old woman for assaulting two children at a daycare facility in McLean.
On August 27, detectives responded to Faz Creative Education Learning Center, located at 1776 Old Meadow Road in McLean, for a report of an assault. Detectives determined that Wafa Abdelhafiz Abdalla, 61, of Alexandria, while employed as a teacher at the daycare, forcefully pushed a 2-year-old boy to the floor and struck another 2-year-old boy in the head with an open hand.
Detectives charged Abdalla with two counts of misdemeanor Assault and Battery. She was released on a summons. A mugshot is unavailable.
Victim specialists from our Victim Services Division have been assigned to ensure the victim receives appropriate resources and assistance.
