Franconia Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance with information regarding an armed commercial robbery in Springfield.
On September 27, at 3:30 p.m., officers responded to the 7000 block of Brookfield Plaza for a robbery.
Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau responded and have assumed the investigation.
Preliminarily, detectives determined that four male suspects arrived at the business in a black Acura sedan. The suspects exited the vehicle and shattered the front glass door to gain entry. One suspect brandished a firearm at an employee while the others smashed display cases and stole jewelry valued at approximately $600,000. No injuries reported. All four suspects fled the area in the same vehicle.
