Fairfax County Police Win 2014 Virginia Law Enforcement Challenge

"VACLEA Summer Conference 2014"

The Law Enforcement Challenge is a competition between law enforcement agencies and is coordinated by the Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police. The program is supported by a grant from the Department of Motor Vehicles: Virginia Highway Safety Office with additional support from private entities.

The main areas of focus include enforcing laws and educating the public about occupant protection, impaired driving and speeding. Police agencies submit applications with their efforts and effectiveness in these areas. The winning agencies are recognized each year appropriately, based on the final results.

Master Police Officer Allie Eggers accepted the award on behalf of the Fairfax County Police Department. MPO Eggers was assigned as a Traffic Safety Officer to the Traffic Safety Division of the Operations Support Bureau for four years and was in that capacity when she accepted this award. Accompanying MPO Eggers is Lieutenant Colonel Ted Arnn (right), Deputy Chief for Investigations and Operations and Major David Moyer, Commander of the Operations Support Bureau.

The Fairfax County Police Department takes pride in accepting this highly coveted award and wishes to express its sincere appreciation to the Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police for this tremendous recognition.
