New Railroad Track Safety Effort Held this Week

Fairfax County Police joined officers from the Norfolk Southern Railroad for a two-day enforcement and education effort on and near railroad tracks in the West Springfield district this week. UPDATE: Brendan Johnston has been located. We thank the public for their assistance.  Brendan Oliver Johnston, 71, has been missing since 5 p.m., Thursday, September 17, and we need the public’s assistance in locating him.  Johnston was last seen this evening driving a 2010 4-door Lincoln sedan with Virginia tags: VY-3393 in the 6200 block of Backlick Road in Springfield.
