Dog Dies after Being Left Inside Hot Car

Mason Police District – On Monday, July 25, police and fire personnel responded to the PetSmart located at 6100 Arlington Boulevard, around 12:23 p.m. for a report of a dog locked inside of a vehicle. Firefighters arrived and immediately determined that the dog was in distress. They entered the vehicle and attempted to cool the dog down but were unsuccessful.

UPDATE: ATM Thefts Surveillance Video Released

Franconia, Mount Vernon, Mason, Sully Police Districts – Detectives have released surveillance footage from one of the ATM thefts that occurred in July. The suspects can be seen prying the business’ doors open then using physical force to break the ATM from its place and slide it out of the store. Anyone with information about these cases is asked to contact Detective S.
