Community Tip Leads to Arrest  

Franconia Police District – Detectives have arrested a 34-year-old man following a tip from a community member. Fairfax County police put out a call for help on Tuesday in identifying the man responsible for assaulting a woman and exposing himself earlier that day. Last night detectives arrested Gamal Mohamed Osman of Alexandria and charged him with sexual battery and indecent exposure.

Burke Man Charged with Possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material

West Springfield Police District – A 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged with ten felonies related to the possession of child pornography. The investigation began when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) was notified of a potentially illicit image being uploaded to a Dropbox account. NCMEC notified the Northern Virginia Washington, D.C.
