Stick to the Playbook: Tips for a Safe Super Bowl Weekend

Fairfax County, VA– As excitement builds for the 2025 Super Bowl, the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) is committed to keeping our community safe. Whether you’re watching from home, a local bar, or a Super Bowl party, follow these essential safety tips:

Super Bowl Safety Tips:

  • Plan Ahead: Arrange transportation in advance. Use rideshare services, public transportation, or designate a sober driver if alcohol is involved.
  • Stay Aware: Keep an eye on your surroundings in crowded areas.
  • Celebrate Responsibly: Pace yourself, stay hydrated, and ensure everyone has a safe way home.
  • Don’t Drink and Drive: If you’ve been drinking, never drive. Use taxis, rideshares, or a sober friend to get home safely.
  • Secure Your Home: If you’re heading out, lock up and consider using outdoor lighting or a security system for extra protection.

To ensure a safe weekend, our officers and traffic division will be conducting increased enforcement throughout the county, focusing on impaired driving and unsafe behavior.
