Fairfax County Aquatics Director Arrested for Indecent Liberties
West Springfield Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau have arrested an Aquatics Director for the Fairfax County Park Authority for Indecent Liberties by a Custodian.
On June 8, at 10:49 a.m., officers responded to the 8100 block of Braddock Road in Annandale for a sex offense report. The complainant reported that a juvenile employee disclosed having inappropriate contact with the Aquatics Director. Detectives from our Sex Crimes Unit assumed the investigation.
Through their investigation, detectives determined Nicholas Ambrose, 28, of Alexandria, had unlawful contact with the juvenile on one occasion.

On June 11, Ambrose was arrested and charged with one count of Indecent Liberties by a Custodian and has since been released. Ambrose is no longer employed by the Fairfax County Park Authority.
Victim specialists from our Major Crimes Bureau’s Victim Services Division have been assigned to ensure the victim is receiving appropriate resources and assistance.
