Building a Case Block by Block: Detectives Arrest Two in Multi-Store Theft Case Involving Nearly $10K in LEGO and Other Merchandise
Fairfax County, VA– Detectives from our Criminal Investigations Division have charged two suspects involved in nearly $10,000 worth of stolen merchandise, including LEGO sets, small appliances, and clothing, from stores across Fairfax County.
Working closely with our regional retail loss prevention partners at Target, Home Depot, and Walmart from May 7 to May 13, detectives identified individuals responsible for thefts who were targeting LEGO sets and other merchandise. In several cases, detectives determined that stolen items were resold to secondhand merchants in Fairfax County.
Detectives assumed the investigation and connected the thefts to additional cases dating back to December of 2025. Through their investigation, detectives identified Reima McPherson, 43, of no fixed address as one of the thieves.
On May 13, officers assigned to our Warrant Squad located McPherson and took her into custody. A second suspect, John-Ross Dika, 31, of Fairfax, was located nearby and taken into custody with McPherson.

McPherson was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. She was charged with eight counts of Grand Larceny, six counts of Petit Larceny, eight counts of Conspiracy to Commit Grand Larceny, four counts of Obtaining Money by False Pretense, four counts of Stolen Property with Intent to Sell, two counts of Identity Theft, Simple Assault, Destruction of Property, and Preventing a 911 call. She was held on no bond.
Dika was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He was charged with four counts of Grand Larceny, four counts of Conspiracy to Commit Grand Larceny, two counts of Stolen Property with Intent to Sell, and Disregarding Police Command to Stop. He has since been release on bond.
Retail theft continues to impact businesses throughout the region. Detectives are working with retailers and regional law enforcement partners to identify offenders, serve outstanding warrants, and disrupt repeat theft activity targeting Fairfax County businesses.
