Detectives Seek Driver in Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Crash in Seven Corners
Mason Police District – Detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run crash in Seven Corners.
This morning at approximately 1:22 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Arlington Boulevard and Patrick Henry Drive for a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle.
Preliminarily, CRU detectives determined an adult male pedestrian was crossing the street at this location from north to south within the crosswalk, but against the pedestrian signal when he was struck by a light-colored sedan traveling eastbound on Arlington Boulevard. The driver of the sedan fled the scene.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital by Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department personnel where he was pronounced deceased. His name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

The investigation into the crash continues as detectives work to identify the driver and vehicle involved. Speed and alcohol are under investigation.
