Three Arrested Following Grab-and-Run Theft Spree in Tysons

McLean Police District – A coordinated effort between detectives from our Tysons Urban Team (TUT), retail loss prevention partners, and detectives from our Auto Crimes Enforcement (ACE) Unit led to the swift arrest of three thieves connected to multiple retail thefts in Tysons and the recovery of thousands of dollars in stolen merchandise.

On June 3, at approximately 12:38 p.m., TUT detectives responded to the 1900 block of Chain Bridge Road in Tysons for a reported larceny. An employee from a retail clothing store reported three women grabbed merchandise and ran from the store without paying for it. During the investigation, detectives learned the women had also stolen merchandise from several other retail clothing stores at Tysons Corner Center. Detectives quickly identified a vehicle connected to the women in a nearby parking garage.

A short time later, a loss prevention officer from another retail store in the 2000 block of International Drive notified detectives of a similar theft. Throughout the investigation, detectives reviewed surveillance images and confirmed the same suspects were responsible for all of the thefts.

Detectives immediately broadcast a lookout for the vehicle and entered it into the Flock Safety alert system. ACE detectives located the vehicle in the 2900 block of District Avenue in Merrifield and took Paige Semaj Page, 18, of Washington, D.C.; Beautiful Barber, 18, of Washington, D.C.; and a 17-year-old female from Maryland into custody without incident.

During the investigation, detectives recovered more than $4,500 worth of stolen merchandise from the vehicle. All stolen merchandise was recovered and returned to the affected retailers.
