UPDATE – Herndon-Area Death Now Being Investigated as a Homicide

The Office of the Medical Examiner has preliminarily concluded that this death is a homicide. The deceased has been identified as William Adolfo Rivas Leiva, 22, of the Herndon area. The investigation remains ongoing. Further updates will be provided as new information becomes available. Two Arrests in Cable TV Battery Thefts

Detectives from the McLean Police District charged two Pennsylvania men with stealing cable TV batteries after a traffic stop in the Reston area. An officer stopped the men on Thursday, February 5, on a traffic charge around 2:30 a.m. on Ring Road, near Weihle Avenue.
