Man Arrested After Burglarizing Church in Fairfax Station
West Springfield Police District— In less than 24-hours a man has been arrested for a burglary at a Fairfax Station church.
On April 23, at 10 a.m., officers responded to the 4900 block of Ox Road for a burglary at the church. Officers learned that a suspect forced entry into the church by breaking a rear sliding glass door. Once inside, the suspect damaged property and stole items. Detectives from our Criminal Investigations Division responded and assumed the investigation.
Through their investigation, detectives learned a vehicle owned by the church was also stolen. After receiving a License Plate Reader (LPR) alert for the stolen vehicle, detectives from our Auto Crimes Enforcement Unit responded to the 7900 block of Ladson Lane in Hybla Valley, where the vehicle was quickly located. Akuamoa Boateng, 30, of Lorton was identified as the driver and taken into custody. Property stolen from the church was recovered from the vehicle.

Boateng was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with Burglary, Auto Theft, Larceny with Intent to Sell, Felony Destruction, and Possession of Schedule I/II Drugs. He was held on no bond.
