The Daily Police Blotter for August 18, 2014

DIRECTED PATROL, 08/15/14. Officers from the Reston Police District patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. No drivers were charged with DWI. Eight summonses and nine warnings were issued.
CHECKPOINT, Centreville Rd and Old Mill Rd, 08/16/14. Officers conducted a DWI checkpoint searching for drunk drivers. Eight-hundred-twenty-eight vehicles passed through. Four drivers were charged with DWI. Eighteen summonses were issued and three criminal arrests were made.

ROBBERY, Annandale Rd and Hollowan Road, 08/16/14. The victim was walking when he was approached by two unknown men. One of the suspects produced a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money. Money was taken and the suspects fled on foot. The victim did not require rescue. The first suspect was described as black, approximately 18 years of age and about 5 feet 8 inches tall. The second suspect was described as black, approximately 18 years of age and about 5 feet 10 inches tall.
BURGLARY, 7500 block of Parkwood Court, 08/15/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.
