ASSAULT ON POLICE, 6300 block of Richmond Highway, 09/04/14 9:08 a.m. While investigating a case in the parking lot of a shopping center, an officer was assaulted. Andrea Fripp-Hayes, 40 of Alexandria was arrested and charged with assault on law enforcement and obstruction of justice.

2800 block of Kelly Square, credit card from residence.
MALTREAT ANIMAL, 5800 block of Kingstowne Blvd, 09/02/14, 12:41 p.m. Animal Control Officers were called to the parking lot for a dog left in a vehicle with its windows closed. The owner, Mark Burneko, 62, of Alexandria, was charged with inadequate animal care. The Golden Retriever appeared to be unharmed.
