UPDATE – Arrest Made in Centreville Homicide
Daniel Jacinto Marco Cedillo
22-year-old Daniel Jacinto Marco Cedillo, of the same Cool Oak Lane address, has been arrested and charged with the murder of Mario Cedillo-Santiago. Homicide detectives, assisted by detectives from the Fugitive Squad and from the United States Marshal Service Fugitive Task Force, located and apprehended Cedillo in Baltimore, Maryland in the early morning hours of Tuesday, December 16. He awaits extradition back to Fairfax County.

Police responded to a home in the 14,000 block of Cool Oak Lane on Saturday, December 13 shortly before 4 p.m. for the report of a man suffering from an apparent stab wound. Officers located the victim inside the home; unresponsive. They immediately began CPR while awaiting the arrival of Fairfax County Fire and Rescue. The victim, 29-year-old Mario Cedillo-Santiago, was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital and was pronounced dead around 9 p.m. Saturday. Homicide detectives and Crime Scene technicians responded to the scene. The initial investigation determined that roommates at the Cool Oak Lane address heard an argument between the victim and an unidentified person. When they went to investigate, the assailant had fled and the victim was discovered.
