TRAFFIC PURSUIT, Richmond Highway/Fordson Road, 01/15/15, 11:13 p.m. A police officer on patrol operating a marked police cruiser attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle disregarded the officer’s signal to stop and continued on Richmond Highway. Vehicle stop sticks were utilized but the vehicle continued to evade the officer, ultimately stopping in a parking lot in the 9100 block of Richmond Highway. Police arrested and charged the driver, Anthony E. Bateman, 58, of Fort Belvoir, with DWI- 2nd offense, driving on a suspended license, and eluding police.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION
BURGLARY, 5600 block of Inverchapel Road, 01/15/15. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.
