The Daily Police Blotter for January 28, 2015

SULLY DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 14900 block of Rydell Road, 01/26/15. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

LARCENIES:

5600 block of Oak Tanager court, electronic equipment from vehicle.

 

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

2500 block of Parkers Lane, property from vehicle.

 

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 1900 block of Chain Bridge Road, 01/25/15. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

BURGLARY, 8500 block of Leesburg Pike, 01/26/15. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

BURGLARY, 7600 block of Broadway Drive, 01/26/15, 8:47 p.m. The victim arrived home and was entering his residence through the front door. The suspect was initially in the stairwell of the apartment building where the victim lives. The suspect forced her way behind the victim as he was opening the front door to the residence. While in the residence, the suspect lit the victim’s property on fire. The victim left the residence and called police from a neighbor’s home. Officers located and arrested the suspect. Evelyn E. Rodriguez, 26, of Falls Church, was charged with arson of an occupied dwelling, burglary, interrupting a 911 call, and two counts of assault on law enforcement.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

6300 block of Columbia Pike, beverage from business.

6000 block of Leesburg Pike, beverage from business.

3700 block of South George Mason Drive, merchandise from business.

 

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 10000 block of Thompson Ridge Court, 01/26/15. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

LARCENIES:

1700 block of Ascot Way, cash from residence.

2100 block of Centreville Road, merchandise from business.

 

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 4400 block of Backlick Road, 01/26/15, 2:30 p.m. A man entered the BB&T bank. The suspect demanded money from an employee and made threats to the property.  The suspect fled on foot and was located by responding officers. There were no injuries. Dontay M. Jackson, 31, no fixed address, was arrested and charged with robbery and threats to bomb/burn.

BURGLARY, 6000 block of Palladium Court, 01/25/15. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

5400 block of Clonmel Court, 2000 BMW 323.

5700 block of Sunbury Drive, 2014 Acura RDX.

 

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 8400 block of Lake Crest Terrace, 01/27/15, 1:40 p.m. A resident reported an unknown man walked into the home through an unsecured door. The man left immediately when he saw someone in the home. Nothing was taken.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 4900 block of Willet Drive, 01/27/15, 5:19 p.m. Officers responded to a school alarm at Canterbury Woods Elementary School. Three juveniles were taken into custody by patrol officers and there was no damage to school property.
