The Daily Police Blotter for February 10, 2015

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

PURSUIT/ASSAULT ON POLICE, Richmond Highway/Sherwood Hall Lane, 2/9/15, 11:42 p.m. A police officer attempted to stop a vehicle for traffic charges. The driver of the vehicle sped away and attempted to flee but eventually was stopped on Richmond Highway near Arlington Drive. The driver refused to cooperate and when ordered from his vehicle, he rolled his window up on an officer’s arm. Officers deployed pepper spray and used a baton to break the window and free the officer’s arm. The driver then assaulted an officer before he was taken into custody. Jonathan Ferrufino, 28, of Burke was charged with driving on suspended driver’s license (DWI related), speed to elude, obstruction of justice, assault on police and defective equipment.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, 6000 block of Richmond Highway, 02/07/15, 4:10 a.m. The two victims were walking and approached by a group of six men. The suspects assaulted the victims and fled on foot. The victims were treated for non-life threatening injuries at the scene. The suspects were described as Hispanic males.

BURGLARY, 7700 block of Ridgecrest Drive, 02/08/15. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 8600 block of Westwood Center Drive, 02/08/15, 2:16 a.m. An officer observed a man urinating in public and displaying his genitals in a lewd manner. Abdullah F. Aldousari, 22, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with indecent exposure and drunk in public.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, 12000 block of Greywing Square, 02/07/15. The victim was walking and was approached by a man. The suspect assaulted the victim with a bottle then fled on foot. The victim treated for non-life threatening injuries near the scene. The suspect was described as Hispanic, between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall and wearing a green and white striped stocking cap.

BURGLARY, 10900 block of Harpers Square Court, 02/08/15. An employee reported someone entered the residence and took property.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 4400 block of Island Place, 02/07/15, 10:01 p.m. A resident reported an unknown man knocked on the door and entered the home without the owner’s permission. Responding officers located the man inside the residence and arrested him. Elzain S. Mohamed, 54 of Falls Church, was charged with simple assault and unlawful entry.

BURGLARY, 5500 block of Ridgeton Hill Court, 02/05/15. An employee reported someone entered the residence and took property.
